DC HipHop is ALIVE & KICKIN’! [The Beatdown]
It went DOWN last night! I HEART DC HIP HOP!!
First, let me say CONGRATS to Innerloop Records for hosting this event! It was their one year anniversary and it was one hell of an event! The ILLEST DJ in the DMV DJ ALIZAY was spinning and producers, AB, Judah, J-Scrilla, Mastermind and Best Kept Secret were in the showcase. There were 3 rounds, but I only stayed for 2. There were also performances by AP, X.O. and K-Beta..nice line up! I have to say there is INSANE talent in this area and it’s about time that we get some labels here looking at OUR OWN producers because they are definitely pumping out some HEAT!! Met a cool photographer from the Washington Post, shout out to Dre of Plug Ent., Anwaa (Elite DC Magazine), Ill Will (of 93.9), Sakwe (The Famous Firm) was in the building and so many others. Oh, all of the performers RIPPED it, but let me ask this question, why isn’t AP signed yet? Dude is IT! Seriously! “I Am So DC!!!” Oh, wait..how can I forget..OVEROK..you the man..thanks for everything!! Definitely come out to the next one folks..this is the truth! Great spot to network and a great spot to hear some QUALITY MUSIC!!
