R&B Live DC 2009 Kickoff New Year, New Talent, New Music
Washington, DC (Dec. 31, 2008)- R&B Live DC is ready to start the new year off with a bang. On Tuesday, January 13th R&B Live DC proudly presents Dawn Richard (of Danity Kane) at Posh Restaurant & Supper Lounge. Dawn Richard is a native of the great New Orleans, LA and spent most of her childhood developing her singing and dancing skills. Later on she auditioned for MTV’s “Making the Band 3″ where she was chosen to compete for Diddy’s female group. Dawn ultimately made it through the season and was chosen to be a member of Danity Kane, along side 4 other females. She is now working on her solo project, while still a member of the platinum selling group.
R&B Live DC is pleased to announce that Marjorie Harris will host this month’s event as the all female house band Be’La Dona will accent the venue with their sounds as DJ Huck Fin spins. The opening act will be Washington, DC’s own Kevin Ross. Kevin was named Best New R&B Artist by AOL Music and is BET’s 106 & Park “Wild Out Wednesday” All-Star Champion. He is working on his EP, which is due later in 2009 and is currently promoting his new single “That Girl (Winner)”.

Elite DC Magazine was in the building last night for the official after party of the concert that featured Lil Wayne, Keyshia Cole, Gorilla Zoe, Keri Hilson and a host of others that I can’t remember. LoL. Word on the street was that this was the “Official” after party with Lil Wayne, Keyshia and T-Pain (but not sure if he was on the DC ticket..hmm) BUT there was NO Lil Wayne at the party (oh boooo) LoL, but Keyshia and her crew came and I have to say they looked FAB! I love the fact that she keeps it in the family and has them travel with her. I personally like Neffie and she looked GREAT last night and Keyshia’s shoes? Just WAIT until you see them! I hope all of you had a great holiday. Many of you know that I went to LA for Christmas and the vacation was going perfect until Christmas afternoon. That is when we recived a phone call that my Uncle had died in MD from a massive heart attack. So mentally, I kind of checked out. I just wanted to be surrounded with family, so I stepped back from doing the blogging thing. I know some may say it would help me, but I just need to step away from the AIM, Twitter, Blog, Facebook, Myspace to have time to myself. However, through prayer and being blessed with amazing friends who have had my back I’m feeling a bit better now and it’s starting to get a little bit easier, even though I still have my moments. Thank you to ALL who have reached out to me. It really meant/means a lot to me!! I love you and be blessed.

I LOVE how she is releasing like two videos at once and these vids are HOT! The black & white is really working for me and the creativity is on another level. “Diva” happens to be one of my theme songs right now (LoL) It really does describe me to a tee (Whoop! Whoop!) and “Halo” WOW..all I have to say is MICHAEL EALY ladies..MICHAEL EALY!! Whoever decided to cast him, KUDOS to you!! Enjoy!
