Written by candice nicole at on 8:11 am in Candice Nicole In The City

So yesterday I had the pleasure of doing the media alert about the VA based producers (Team Demo) who were the force behind 50 Cent’s new agressive street single “Crime Wave”. It had the internet going NUTS!! Missed it? Check it out HERE

Well, he shot a video (more like a movie if you ask me) for the track and I love it! From the beginning to end I was glued to my computer screeen to see what was going to happen..AND it’s a “to be continued”. The leading single “Crime Wave” is off of 50’s upcoming album “Before I Self Destruct” due out Nov 23rd! I also saw that Miss Info posted a remix with Gucci Mane! I was excited to hear this, I mean 50 and Gucci are about to have 4th Qr in a FRENZY and I welcome it! I haven’t been this excited for new music in a minute! I think it was when Kanye & 50 were going head to head. Anywho, check the video and remix below..and once again, to Team Demo..CONGRATS!

Check out “Crime Wave” feat Gucci Mane HERE

**I later heard it wasn’t the “official” single and that Gucci just wanted to jump on, but I’m diggin it and either way it’s a good look**

So, I was on my daily cruising the web mission today and was on Blogxilla’s site and spotted a new video from Esso. I click play and I hear a Michael Jackson sample (YES SIR) so the video was already FTW (for the win) for me :o) Might I add, GREAT PRODUCTION! From the track to the video. It’s pure hotness! So congrats to his team! I met Esso maybe in like 07 at a City of Cheif’s event (how I miss those so!) and he’s a nice dude, so best of luck to him and his future in the game, I know he will have a bright one :o) Hope you enjoy!

NEW MUSIC: Tony J “U Need A Man” [R&B is BACK!]

Written by candice nicole at October 20, 2009 on 1:28 pm in Candice Nicole In The City

    Listen & Download HERE

Just listen. That is all that I ask anyone who reads this post. I was maybe 25/30 seconds in and said WOW! I can’t wait to hear more material from Tony J! He wrote and produced the record “U Need A Man” as well. He’s already on the right path to success! One that is well rounded? That is FTW! (for the win)

Who is Tony J? Well, he’s been making a name for himself in Houston, TX and recently signed with Moe Arora for management. He is in GREAT company with Moe! One of the KEY folks in the industry that you need to know, so please follow him @MoeArora and subscribe to his blog “Making the Mogul”.

You can follow Tony J @TonyJForever

    Brief Bio

“With the new generation of R&B artists singing tales of promiscuous lifestyles, today’s R&B music has lost its connection with love and romance. Houston native, Tony J, wants to change that.

Having been raised in Houston (a primarily hip-hop market), Tony’s musical influences range from 90s R&B artists like Case, Avant and Jagged Edge, to the Houston-born Chopped & Screwed style, pioneered by the late DJ Screw. This vast range offers a unique twist to Tony J’s music.

From the vocals he records, to the words he sings, to the music he composes - Tony J is a well-rounded artist and musician.

With his first single, “U Need a Man”, Tony J is bringing romance back to R&B.”
