Washington Redskin’s Clinton Portis & Santana Moss & Carla Truitt (R&B Live DC Founder & Producer)
As many of you know, I handle the PR for R&B Live DC and the kick off for 2009 was held Jan. 13th. The venue was Posh Resturant & Supper Club and the crowd was very grown & sexy. The performances were by Miriamm Wright and Kevin Ross, both from the DC area. The event was hosted by Carla Truitt (founder & producer of R&B Live Dc). We had Grammy nominated producer Chucky Thompson in the building, Deangelo Redman (Making the Band 3), Clinton Portis (Washington Redskins), Santana Moss (Washington Redskins) and many other DC socialites in the building. Shout out to Kenny (from WKYS) and DJ Heat (from WPGC) for coming through and showing love!
The next R&B Live DC event will be Feb 17th! So mark your planners :o)

Washington, DC (Dec. 31, 2008)- R&B Live DC is ready to start the new year off with a bang. On Tuesday, January 13th R&B Live DC proudly presents Dawn Richard (of Danity Kane) at Posh Restaurant & Supper Lounge. R&B Live DC is pleased to announce that Marjorie Harris will host this month’s event as the all female house band Be’La Dona will accent the venue with their sounds as DJ Huck Fin spins. The opening act will be Washington, DC’s own Kevin Ross. Kevin was named Best New R&B Artist by AOL Music and is BET’s 106 & Park “Wild Out Wednesday” All-Star Champion. He is working on his EP, which is due later in 2009 and is currently promoting his new single “That Girl (Winner)”.

I would like to start this post off with saying I am truly blessed to be a part of this wonder event! I’m honored to have R&B Live DC as one of my clients.
Tonight, set the standard of what Washington, DC has to offer the music industry and to our area as a whole. This is something that was needed and it will only get bigger in the months coming :o)
R&B Live DC took place at Posh Supper Lounge. UK’s own Michelle Harris hosted the event, she has such a funky, cool girly feel to her. DJ Huckfin was spinning and the house band BLUSH (ALL female) was AMAZING. Tamika Jones was the opening act and she was great! Then the lady of the hour, Marsha Ambrosius (of Floetry) hit the stage and blessed everyone with her heavenly voice. She did songs “Say Yes”, “Butterflies” and others. It was truly a TREAT! There was a mix of everyone in the building. You had DC socialites, Grammy award winning producer Chucky Thompson, Washington Redskin Clinton Portis, former Redskin and now owner of The Sideline (at the BLVD.) Lavar Arrington, Studio 43, Councilmen and so many others. The next R&B Live DC will be OCTOBER 21st. Please take note :o) Enjoy the flicks! Shout out to Anwaa of Elite DC Magazine. ALWAYS holding it down for his city!! Oh! Shout out to Supa Scotty for jumping on the mic towards the end. Your the best babe!!
