Yeah, so this is going to be one of the SICKEST shows to happen in DC tomorrow night! Seriously! You need to be there if your in the area! if your in Philly, NYC just do a road trip. You will NOT be disappointed!
The 411:
Basically, it was a mash up between DMV producers & artists that usually would not work together. The different producers remixed a certain “Reasonable Doubt” track and MAGIC happened! Someone REALLY needs to get this to the man Jay-Z himself. I KNOW he would appreciate creativity like this. I was actually able to be in the studio when Lyriciss (client) was doing some recording on his track that Kokayi produced :o) THEN Overok (THE man) sent out some footage of Grammy Nominated Raheem DeVaughn laying down some hooks for a track. NICE!
The performances will be like NO other and I WILL be doing some LIVE “tweeting” while in the bulding tomorrow :o) Shout out to Innerloop Records for ALWAYS doing their thing and keeping it real and true to hip hop in the DMV. REAL TALK..Innerloop Records gets it poppin! April 22nd is the next BEATDOWN too..and 9th Wonder is one of the feature Producers..YESSSSS!
Who is Performing?
Well, Overok listed basically like all of them but off the top, it will be Lyriciss, Marky, AB The Producer, XO, Pro’Verb, AP, Sim City, RatheMC, The Package and sooo many more! Point is, BE THERE! :o)
WHERE?

“What’s good, everybody? Been a good month since I dropped “The Day Job”. Thank you to everyone for all the love and positive reviews…it’s actually helped pushed the career into some pretty nice moves that are coming to light very soon. That being said, you don’t get paid for sitting on your ass, so I’m back with something new for the blogs, DJs, streets, etc. Any MC worth the right to call themselves an MC that heard Wale’s “Wordplay” thought what I thought when they heard the end of it…”open 16 to murder!” LOL. So that’s what I did, out of respect for such a record being made. Focus on lyrics…production from the great 9th Wonder…and 3 other artists that I respect on the record. It’s only write I put my own touch onto the record. So enjoy and let the people know.”
We also have to say a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my other client PHZ-Sicks!
He also sent over some new music and a message. Read below:
“Whaddup World,
PHZ-Sicks here. On this day (March 23rd), 22 years ago, I was born. I decided since I’m happy to see another year, I wanted to give something to y’all in the form of “The Return.” Love to all the blogs, artists, producers, directors, family, and friends that showed love to me. Thanks for fueling the drive when I needed it. Tomorrow, I will start working on “Less Than Zero.” See you at the finish line.”
Might I say they are reppin the DMV quite well! It was directed by jben.ok (host of GW Radio’s “Funkadelic Freestyles) & Chris. It’s an OFFICIAL one, seriously! Just LOVE IT! So nice to see my client Lyriciss in the vid. He is clearly on his way, but so is everyone else in the video :o) “Go Hard” was the first single off of AB The Producer’s mixtape “Producer’s Credit” To download, check out www.studi43.com. Shout to Studio 43, Barbie Bibianna, Equinox Professionals & Delorean Music Group..doing it BIG!

An even hoter idea that it was here in the area :o) The recently had thier one a month event at the Historical Society in DC Saturday, Jan 31st and my client Lyriciss was there and got in the cipher they started. For more information on the Hip Hop Cinema, please read below.
ABOUT HIP HOP CINEMA: (via facebook group page)
“Hip Hop Cinema Cafe is a monthly celebration of independent Hip Hop Films. It’s mission is to showcase the work of Hip Hop filmmakers and provide members of the film and entertainment industry a rare opportunity to meet, network, and share information with emerging film directors, producers, writers, cast members, Hip Hop Artists and DJs.
The influence of Hip Hop on American culture grows stronger every year. In music, art, literature, fashion and film, Hip Hop is transcending old stereotypes and coming to represent a set of positive, progressive values. The Hip Hop Cinema Café serves as a dedicated forum in which these values—and the people who live by them—can be celebrated, examined, and understood.”

Message from Lyriciss:
“Happy New Year, people!!!
It’s officially a new the start of a new 365-degree orbit of our planet.
Oh, and we are officially (hopefully) less than 30 days away from the release of my newest mixtape, “The Day Job”, dropping on February 3rd.
To start getting ears ready for what’s coming (I know there’s supposed to be a “pause” or “no homo” there, but man…I’m too tired of that phrase lol), I’m giving y’all two new tracks.
The last few tracks I dropped were on the conceptual side, so I brought it back to the lyrical exercise, the punchlines, etc.
You might have heard me on the “Failure” instrumental before, but uh…definitely added some more on there this go-round.
And I decided to bless a beat by the late great J. Dilla…anybody who isn’t familiar with him, you should at least recognize the beat if you’ve heard Kid Cudi.
Anyway…enjoy the tracks, post away, and feel free to contact me.
It’s going to be a good year, joe…”
This is the first single off of AB’s upcoming mixtape titled “Producer’s Credit“and all I have to say is LISTEN to the track, it speaks for itself and my lovely client Lyricissis on the track as well (3rd verse, he brings it home) WHOOP! WHOOP! I have to say the dude AB is nice with it and X.O.?? Well, if you don’t know about him I don’t know where ya been!..LoL..Studio 43 is ON IT!
LoL..so this should be interesting to see what folks say about this one right here. LoL. Kudos to him touching on some things that are VERY true in the area..Just in time to hear on the last day of 2008, so some folks can CHANGE how they act for the 2009 :o)
**NOTE** The audio does not match the video, Lyriciss mentioned in the email that it kept messing up on You Tube, but still listen :o) THANK YA!!
