I thought that would get your attention, but he really DID do it last night LIVE while streaming from the studio during a mixing session. So, last night I had a FAB dinner with Cassandra & her Mommy, then get home and check email and of course see what’s poppin on Twitter. Well, I see someone make a tweet about Warren G is LIVE in the studio and gave the link, so I said “HmMmM, let me go check him out”. Boy, am I glad I did that! Next thing I know he says “Whats up Candice, PR lady”…and my Mommy was in the kitchen and heard and started screaming like “thats YOU CANDICE!” LoL..THAT was such a CLASSIC moment for me. So, he’s talking to the viewers and I call Cassandra like girl, go watch, its hella FUNNY! So, I will just give you a breif breakdown of what he shared with us.
His mixtape is droppin June 2nd and will showcase some of his new artists
Nate Dogg is recovering, but still send your prayers
He called Snoop Dogg on his BLACKBERRY BOLD, but Snoop didn’t answer
He loves soul food
Was drinking “Satin Silk” w/some kool-aid mixed in it
Did a freestyle & did a line from “Regulate” before he went offline
Was on that “higher education” as my girl Angie would say..LoL
Said “DC is where it’s at right now!”
So as you can see, it was a FUN night! I think it’s great that he embracing the social network sites, it’s such a great way to market yourself. He said next time he will do a better job of letting folks know when he will going LIVE. Said he will most likely do that once a week. On Twitter and want to follow the legend Warren G? Here’s the link www.twitter.com/warrengeezy
I will also leave you with one of my FAV songs from Warren G. Yeah, you know it’s “Regulate” :o) Enjoy!
Congratulations are in store for Nick Cannon today! He was named the Honorary Chairman of TEENick (formally “The N”) He is one of the youngest and this is a HUGE step (in my opinion) for the African American community. It just proves that if you are determined to make a difference and go after your dreams, they can come true. Nick has been in the business since the age of 15 and now look. Just wonderful! To also add a fun tidbit, he broke the announcement on TWITTER! Interested in following him now? Please do so HERE
Excerpts taken from Press Release:
“The network’s groundbreaking two-year deal with Cannon, which begins immediately, positions him in front of the camera and behind the desk as Honorary Chairman of The N as it transforms into TEENick. In fourth quarter ‘09, The N will rebrand itself as TEENick, further developing and delivering on its mission of serving teens and tweens through programming reflecting the breadth and depth of “teendom.”
As TEENick’s Chairman, Cannon will serve as creative consultant and provide his vision on several projects for the teen network and its development slate. He will have a presence on-air, online and behind-the-scenes as he works closely with the network’s development and on-air teams to harness and execute new ideas across multiple platforms.”
In Nick Cannon’s Words:
“I started my career here at Nickelodeon and am so excited to be back, serving as an integral part of TEENick as the in-house voice and representative for teens everywhere,” said Cannon. “TEENick is their network and I am here to make sure this is an ultimate destination for and about them.”
How exciting! The position begins immediately and I can’t to see the outcome of Nick being the new addition to the Niceklodeon crew :o) To read the complete PRESS RELEASE, click HERE
I first came into contact with Bobby (BGOV/Shady/Interscope) on Twitter. THE social site of them ALL..lol. Wasn’t sure what kind of music he did but he seemed like a cool dude, esp. since he was new to Twitter. A couple of days ago his manager makes a comment for blogs to send their info for NEW music from Bobby, so you KNOW I sent my info to him :o) So, he sent the email with in like 10 minutes and I took a listen to Bobby. He’s REAL nice with it! Just straight hip hop, so if your a lover of hip hop give dude a listen. Below, are links to his music. Enjoy! :o)
